Apiary Road John Gumm Historic Courthouse
| This project is part of a larger multi-phase effort to enhance the functionality and capacity of Columbia County's facilities. Alongside the Historic Courthouse and the Annex Building, the county's recent acquisition of the 30,000-square-foot John Gumm facility in 2021 marks a significant step forward.
Our goal is to boost the efficiency of county and court operations. With the additional space provided by the John Gumm facility and targeted upgrades, we can reconfigure departments for better workflow and safety.
This reconfiguration isn't just about internal operations—it's about benefiting both our dedicated employees and the public we serve. By conducting essential upgrades to the newly acquired facility and the existing courthouse, we are laying the groundwork for a comprehensive and effective reconfiguration. This will ensure operational flexibility and accommodate future growth, ultimately improving our ability to serve the community.
But this reconfiguration isn't solely about internal processes—it's about creating tangible benefits for our dedicated employees and the community we proudly serve. Essential upgrades to the newly acquired facility and the existing courthouse are laying the foundation for this comprehensive and impactful transformation. This strategic approach will grant us the operational flexibility needed to adapt to future demands and continue delivering exceptional service to our community. | PROJECT UPDATES2024July June May April March February January
